The bible is a book mostly written by men who never even met the people they wrote about (many years after). It is also heavily edited and censored by a church that had a power and politics agenda, eliminating around 14 books (the Apocrypha). In addition, there isn't just one Christian bible - there are at least three with different numbers of chapters. There exists no provable, fact-based evidence to support any of the supernatural (spiritual) events in it. Thus, it is pure human belief - a human emotion and dependent on as many human thoughts as there are humans. To believe without factual evidence is like saying a court case should be determined by only hearsay or a feeling. It's hard to think God wouldn't hold humans to a standard that they hold themselves. ANYTHING supernatural or spiritual that is taken from the bible is hearsay, feelings, beliefs, hopes, and tales of imaginations, and not proven with evidence.

It doesn't surprise me that this preacher could not interpret Revelation chapter 17 correctly because he can't even interpret the Lord's Sabbath correctly he believes that keeping the Sabbath commandment that was under Judaism is still relevant today not taking into consideration the redemptive work of Jesus Christ that Jesus is now our Sabbath even the Jews could not keep the Sabbath and had to go into Captivity for 70 years and the Bible says that Christ took those rudiments and ordinances that were against us and nailed them to the cross and he abolished in his flesh the enmity thereby in other words the old Sabbath law was carnal because it was written on dead tables of Stone it had no spiritual powers but now through Christ we are made free from the law of sin and death another way of saying the Mosaic law Amen 🙏

Preachers will point to the Bible as evidence of God's existence ---- just not convincing. They will point to the endless regress of first causes as a need for a primary mover --- an amateurish perspective that belies a misunderstanding or unawareness of Platonism or the difficulties with the notion of reality. These men are children clumsily fondling ideas and notions beyond their reach and reducing complex issues into digestible bits to be believed, not considered. Awful, really awful. It's a terrible game and Mankind is the victim.

It would be hard to convince a thinking person that God exists because a thinking person does not take leaps of faith --- a thinking person is looking for evidence that is as large and persuasive as the conclusion itself. The statement "God exists" is about as large a conclusion one could make about the universe as any other --- and as such, promoting it to the status of "truth" requires abundant and convincingly accurate evidence. The whole gambit of "belief" as it is sold to us by religious salesmen (like SB) is that evidence and analysis --- the things sought by a thinking person when considering a proposition --- are unnecessary. This is the root wickedness of religion. Religion criminalizes skepticism and portrays belief as a virtue. Belief is just lazy thinking and a dangerous frame of mind, not a virtue. Skepticism is the most important cognitive tool at our disposal. It helps us decide when or when not there is sufficient evidence to conclude that something is true --- an act that can have many consequences in the real world. Religion has successfully divided Mankind for thousands of years turning our species against itself --- and even turning us against ourselves as individuals. It has frightened mortals who face the most difficult questions about their existence and the ephemeral nature of being. I has leveraged that fear for profit and control. God is not Great. Religion is wicked. Religion is toxic. Hold onto yourself and your Will. Think.

My ex husband cheated on me in a very similar fashion. He remarried a sda woman in coonsbay by sda pastor. Even though he had affairs and was emotionally and physically abusive. While I had to do over 6 years of therapy and still not fully recover. Sometimes being sda is hard.
